Danielle Horochowski is the owner and Artistic Director of The City Ballet School and the director and founder of The Western Maryland City Ballet Company. Ms.Horochowski graduated from The City Ballet School under founding Artistic Director Lauran Clowser and continued her training at Point Park Conservatory for Performing Arts in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She earned her B.A. in Dance from Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi and danced with Equinox Dance Company in Frederick, Maryland and with ClancyWorks Dance Company in Washington, D.C. 

During her ten year tenure with the Western Maryland City Ballet Company, Horochowski has choreographed and staged Giselle, Le Corsaire, The Nutcracker, Cinderella, The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and The Little Mermaid. Horochowski is a vibrant story teller who combines familiar and genuine movement to connect her audience to her characters. Her choreography is colorful and innovative and uses theatrical elements to engage her audience. In 2019, Ms. Horochowski also created commissioned works for the Maryland Symphony Orchestra’s Love Notes Concert and The City of Hagerstown’s Imagine Hagerstown Festival. Horochowski has been the Artistic Director for the City Ballet School since 2006. Before moving to Hagerstown, Horochowski served on staff with the USA International Ballet Competition and was the director of dance for Center Stage Productions in Jackson, MS
